Samantha Follows Nani’s Lead in Backing New-Age Cinema with Tralala Productions

In recent years, several actors have transitioned into producers to support projects featuring other talents. Among them, Natural Star Nani has carved a unique path by using his banner, Wall Poster Cinema, as a launchpad for new-age filmmakers and fresh storytelling. Acclaimed films like Awe, HIT, HIT 2, Court, and HIT 3 stand as a testament to Nani’s discerning taste as a producer.

Following a similar trajectory is star actress Samantha, who has launched her own production house, Tralala Productions. The banner’s debut venture, Shubham, a horror-comedy set in Vizag featuring budding young actors, is slated for a theatrical release on May 9.

Speaking about her vision for Tralala Productions, Samantha expressed her deep love for cinema both as an actress and a producer. “I want to tell new stories that resonate with a wide audience. More importantly, I want to offer a platform for emerging filmmakers to bring their narratives to life,” she said.

If Shubham clicks at the box office, it could pave the way for Samantha to support many more such indie films in the future—mirroring the success of Nani’s Court, which was made on a modest budget with newcomers and turned out to be a commercial success earlier this year.

It's encouraging to see stars like Nani and Samantha stepping forward to nurture new talent in the industry. Their success in these ventures could inspire more A-list actors to back innovative content and fresh voices, thereby enriching the cinematic landscape.
