Heavy Rains Forecast Across Andhra Pradesh for Tuesday and Wednesday
Visakhapatnam: The Meteorological Department has issued a weather alert for moderate to heavy rainfall across several parts of Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday and Wednesday, due to the influence of a trough and prevailing atmospheric instability.
Districts including Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Parvathipuram Manyam, Alluri Sitarama Raju, Anakapalle, Palnadu, and Prakasam are expected to receive moderate to heavy showers. Lightning and gusty winds reaching speeds of 50 to 60 km/h are also likely in Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema, East and West Godavari, Eluru, Krishna, NTR, Guntur, Bapatla, SPS Nellore, Kurnool, Nandyal, Anantapur, Sri Sathya Sai, YSR Kadapa, Annamayya, Chittoor, and Tirupati districts, where light rains are anticipated.
Meanwhile, sweltering heat was reported on Monday, with maximum temperatures hitting 42.5°C in Pasupu (Nandyal district), 42.4°C in Jammalamadugu (YSR district), and 42.1°C in Ravipadu (Palnadu district). Authorities advise the public to stay alert and take necessary precautions.
