Two Heroines, One Hero: The Return of a Classic Telugu Cinema Trend

In Telugu cinema, films featuring a single hero and two heroines have traditionally been common. However, this trend has seen a decline in recent years, especially in big-budget hero-centric films. But now, a few high-profile movies are bringing this dynamic back into the spotlight. Here’s a look at some of the most anticipated films with two heroines and a single hero:

1. Vishwambhara:
Directed by Vasshista, this socio-fantasy drama stars Megastar Chiranjeevi in the lead role. Reports suggest that the film will feature four actresses, with Trisha and Ashika Ranganath as the main female leads. Additionally, Isha Chawla and Ramya Pasupuleti are expected to play Chiranjeevi’s sisters in the movie.

2. The Raja Saab:
Directed by Maruthi, this horror-comedy film stars Prabhas in the lead role. The film has garnered high expectations, with Nidhhi Agerwal and Malavika Mohanan playing the female leads. Riddhi Kumar will also have a significant supporting role, with Prabhas reportedly having romantic tracks with both Nidhhi and Malavika.

3. Allu Arjun-Atlee Film:
This mega-budget project, directed by Atlee, is rumored to feature three heroines. Several names, including Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur, and Ananya Panday, have been speculated to star alongside Allu Arjun. The final cast is yet to be confirmed, but anticipation is already high.

4. Puri Jagannath-Vijay Sethupathi Film:
Puri Jagannath has teamed up with Vijay Sethupathi for a film that is rumored to be titled **Beggar". Tabu has already been signed for a key role, while Radhika Apte and Nivetha Thomas are reportedly being considered for the female leads. Official confirmation is still awaited.

Apart from these star-studded films, there are also several upcoming projects featuring two heroines alongside other popular heroes, including Sharwanand’s Nari Nari Naduma Murari (with Samyuktha and Sakshi Vaidya) and Bhogi (with Anupama Parameswaran and Dimple Hayati), Sree Vishnu’s Single (with Ivana and Ketika Sharma), and Nikhil Siddhartha’s Swayambhu (with Samyuktha and Nabha Natesh).
