April’s Telugu Box Office Struggles: A Look at Upcoming Releases

With half of April already behind us, the Telugu film industry has yet to see a major success this month. After MAD Square, none of the recent releases have made a mark at the box office. Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s Jack, which hit theaters last week, was a massive disappointment. However, this Friday, several big films are set to release, and here’s a quick preview of what’s coming:

Odela 2
Starring Tamannaah Bhatia in the lead, Odela 2 is a mythological horror thriller and the sequel to Odela Railway Station. Alongside Tamannaah, Vashishta Simha and Hebbah Patel also play key roles. Tamannaah portrays a Shiva Shakti character in this spine-chilling tale. Directed by Ashok Teja and produced by noted director Sampath Nandi, Odela 2 is set to release on April 17.

Arjun S/o Vyjayanthi
A commercial action drama infused with a mother sentiment, Arjun S/o Vyjayanthi stars Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and Vijayashanti in pivotal roles, with Saiee Manjrekar playing the female lead. Directed by Pradeep Chilukuri, this much-awaited film is scheduled for release on April 18.

Naa Autograph Sweet Memories (Re-Release)
One of Ravi Teja’s most memorable films, Naa Autograph, will be re-released on April 18. Featuring Gopika and Bhumika as the female leads, the film’s soundtrack composed by MM Keeravani remains a highlight. Fans can relive the magic of this classic on the big screen.

With these big releases, April may just have the box-office hit the industry has been waiting for.
