Former MLA  Dokka Manikya Varaprasad has strongly criticized YSR Congress Party MLC Ananth Babu, alleging that his conduct has led to his widespread unpopularity. In a scathing attack, Varaprasad has called for Ananth Babu’s suspension from the YSRCP and his removal from political life. Varaprasad’s remarks came after he accused Ananth Babu of engaging in alleged “perverse antics,” with women and criticized the former Chief Minister and YSRCP chief, Jagan Mohan Reddy, for allegedly not taking action against him.

He further alleged that Ananth Babu had been involved in training YSRCP workers in harmful practices, including violence against Dalits and harassment of women. “The behavior of Ananth Babu is unacceptable,” Varaprasad asserted. “It is imperative that strict action be taken against him to prevent such individuals from continuing in positions of power and influence.”

He emphasized that the current situation demands a decisive response to uphold justice and integrity within the party. Varaprasad also announced his intention to meet with Andhra Pradesh Governor Abdul Nazir to discuss the matter, underscoring the gravity of his concerns. He has urged party leaders to take immediate action against both Ananth Babu and former MLC Thota Trimurtulu, another figure he has criticized. “This is not just about individual misconduct,” Varaprasad added. “It’s about the shameful practice of training individuals in criminal activities, which undermines the very fabric of our society. YSRCP leaders must confront these issues with humility and accountability.”
