Marking one year since taking office, Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni) emphasized that significant strides in development and public service have been made across the constituency. He stated that the past year reflects the first step towards good governance under the new administration.
Highlighting key achievements, the MP said that railway stations in the Vijayawada Parliament segment have been modernized, and major road development projects have been completed. He also noted the revamp of the Autonagar layout and simplified lorry entry permit systems, aimed at improving infrastructure and ease of business.
Speaking about religious and civic infrastructure, Chinni said that development works are underway at Durgagudi temple to handle increased pilgrim footfall over the next 40 years. He added that preparations for the upcoming Krishna Pushkaram festival have already begun. Efforts are also underway to resolve drinking water issues in hilly areas, he said.
In terms of law enforcement and public safety, the MP highlighted the widespread installation of CCTV cameras across colonies and apartment complexes under the Vijayawada Police Commissionerate. In particular, nine colonies under the Patamata Police Station have received new CCTV surveillance. The cameras were inaugurated by MP Kesineni Chinni, MLA Gadde Rammohan, and Police Commissioner Rajasekhar Babu via remote control.
ACP Damodar and CI Pawan Kishore honored the dignitaries with saplings as part of a green initiative.
During the event, MP Kesineni Chinni expressed his gratitude to the people and said, “It’s been a year since I took oath as MP, and I am happy to be part of this meaningful initiative today.” He extended special thanks to CM Chandrababu Naidu, Minister Nara Lokesh, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, MP D. Purandeswari, and other alliance leaders for their encouragement and guidance.
He applauded Police Commissioner Rajasekhar Babu for revitalizing the Command Control Room and effectively utilizing drones and technology to curb crime. Chinni stressed the crucial role of the police during floods and Dussehra celebrations, and commended their ability to conduct reviews remotely using advanced tech.
He cited the Satyanarayanapuram Police Station as a model and announced his intent to advocate with Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha to replicate this model across all police stations in the NTR District.
MP Chinni praised the generosity and spirit of service shown by the people of Vijayawada during times of crisis, such as the recent floods. He credited the installation of CCTV cameras to public donations and added that with continued support from donors, surveillance coverage will be expanded further.
Concluding, he affirmed, “As a public representative, I will always stand by the police and the people, ensuring our combined efforts bring greater development and security to the region.”
