The Telangana Congress government continues to roll out its Rythu Bharosa scheme, aimed at providing financial support to farmers. As part of the phased implementation, funds are being deposited directly into farmers' accounts based on landholding size.
After covering farmers with up to 7 acres on Friday, the government deposited assistance for those owning up to 9 acres on Saturday. So far, 66.19 lakh farmers have benefited under the scheme.
According to Minister Tummala, ₹905.89 crore has been released for the initiative. On Thursday alone, 4.43 lakh farmers received the assistance, covering 106 lakh acres of agricultural land in total.
