Sukumar Finally Acknowledges Choreographer Srashti Varma’s Work on Sooseki Song

Pushpa 2 has been a resounding success, earning praise for its performances, direction, and technical brilliance. Among those recognized was music director Sam CS, who was lauded for his impactful background score. However, one key contributor remained in the shadows—budding choreographer Srashti Varma, who played a major role in the viral hit Sooseki song.

Despite composing the majority of the choreography for Sooseki, Srashti’s contribution went unrecognized in public forums—until now. Known for being someone who always credits his team, director Sukumar has often praised even assistant directors for their value additions. But until recently, he hadn’t had the chance to highlight Srashti’s work.

That moment finally came during the trailer launch of Sita Payanam, where both Sukumar and Srashti Varma were present. While speaking at the event, Sukumar took the opportunity to credit her publicly.

“Srashti composed 80 percent of the Sooseki song. She also worked on a few montage sequences. She truly deserves the credit for that,” said Sukumar, acknowledging her talent and hard work.

The Sooseki song was a huge success upon release, but Srashti’s role behind its choreography was never officially spotlighted—until Sukumar’s recent statement. With this recognition, she finally receives the credit she long deserved.
