Kajal Aggarwal Gears Up for Bollywood Comeback with Ramayana

Kajal Aggarwal, one of Indian cinema's most celebrated actresses, has enjoyed a remarkable career across multiple industries, including a significant fan base in both South Indian cinema and Bollywood. However, over the past decade, her presence in Hindi films has been relatively limited.

Most recently seen in Sikander opposite Salman Khan, the film did not garner much acclaim for Kajal. Now, the actress appears ready to re-establish her footing in Bollywood with a high-profile project.

If industry reports are to be believed, Kajal Aggarwal is in talks to play the pivotal role of Mandodari in Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious adaptation of Ramayana. The film already boasts a stellar cast, with Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravana. Mandodari, the wife of Ravana, holds significant narrative depth in the epic, and casting Kajal in this role seems both strategic and promising.

Sharing screen space with Yash in such a monumental project could mark a major turning point for Kajal's Bollywood career. Sources suggest that this version of Ramayana will offer greater character development for Mandodari, giving Kajal a strong platform to showcase her acting prowess and re-engage with audiences in the Hindi belt.

Known for her linguistic versatility and pan-Indian appeal, Kajal is well-positioned to meet the demands of a large-scale multilingual production. Her experience across industries makes her a natural fit for such a culturally rich and visually ambitious film.

Aside from Sikander, Kajal’s last notable Hindi appearance was in Mumbai Saga (2021), which underperformed at the box office. She also starred in Do Lafzon Ki Kahani and Final Cut of Director in 2016. Post marriage, Kajal has taken a measured approach to her career, but with Ramayana on the horizon, she seems poised to make a powerful return to the Bollywood spotlight.

If confirmed, this role could mark a new chapter in Kajal Aggarwal’s journey—one that brings her back into the center of mainstream Hindi cinema.
