Weather Alert: Heavy Rain Expected in Telangana

Residents of Telangana should be aware of severe weather conditions as heavy to very heavy rains are forecasted for the next three days, starting today.

The monsoon season has arrived unexpectedly early, bringing moderate to intense rainfall across the country over the past few days. In Telangana, the southwest monsoon has already made its presence felt. In light of this, the Hyderabad Meteorological Department has issued warnings for the state. 

Today, heavy to very heavy rains are anticipated, particularly in the districts of Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, and Bhadradri Kothagudem, prompting the issuance of an orange alert for these areas. Other districts are expected to experience normal to light rainfall.

Looking ahead to tomorrow, heavy to very heavy rains are also likely in the districts of Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Nirmal, Mancherial, and Peddapalli, which have also received orange alerts.

Furthermore, moderate to heavy rains may occur in Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Medak, Sangareddy, Vikarabad, Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, and Mahabubnagar districts. For these areas, a yellow alert has been issued.
