AP and Telangana have agreed to entrust the management of Srisailam and Nagarjuna Sagar projects to KBRMB. Krishna management board meeting on projects was held on Wednesday. In this meeting, AP and Telangana agreed to Krishna Board for the operation of the projects. A three-member committee will be formed for the distribution of water shares. The final decision on allotment of shares will be taken by the three-member committee. On this occasion, Telangana ENC Muralidhar said that all the operations of the projects have been given to KRMB. He said that no decision has been taken yet on the power stations. Nagarjuna Sagar said that Telangana and Srisailam AP will be taken care of and all the projects will be run under the board henceforth.
ENC Muralidhar said that they have written letters to all the centers regarding their demands. He said that no decision has come from there yet. He said that the three-member committee will take the decision on the distribution of water shares. He said that security at the projects will be done at the discretion of the board depending on the situation. He said that all the 15 projects under the purview of KERMB will come under the purview of the board. He said that the projects have not been fully handed over.. The operational and water release board will see to it. He said that CRPF will also be under the purview of Krishna Board. He said that the staff allocation for management is 40:45.

AP ENC Narayana Reddy said that out of total 13 OTs under the board, nine are from Telangana and six from Andhra Pradesh. Krishna said that they have no objection to handing over the projects to the board. He said that there will be allocation of personnel from both the states for operational. He said that the final decision on water allocation is the three-member committee. He said that the three-member committee will take the operational protocol of the projects under the existing conditions.. They agreed to release two TMC from the Left Main Canal and three TMC from the Right Main Canal to AP during March. He said that five TMCs have been allotted to AP in advance.. Telangana is ready for the operationalization of the projects.
