Fresh CID Notices Issued to Senior IPS Officers in Kadambari Jethwani Case
In a major development in the ongoing investigation involving Mumbai-based actress Kadambari Jethwani, the Andhra Pradesh Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has issued fresh notices to senior IPS officers Kanthi Rana Tata and Vishal Gunni, summoning them for questioning on May 5.
The decision follows discrepancies identified between earlier testimonies by the officers and a recent deposition by former Intelligence Chief PSR Anjaneyulu. CID sources confirmed that Anjaneyulu, currently being interrogated, contradicted several claims made by Tata and Gunni.
Vishal Gunni had previously told investigators that Anjaneyulu, then Intelligence Chief, instructed him to bring Jethwani from Mumbai. However, Anjaneyulu has now clarified that his interactions with Gunni were limited to surveillance-related matters and asserted that he never discussed Kadambari Jethwani with either officer.
Both IPS officers have already been questioned in connection with the case. The new summons aim to resolve the conflicting statements and establish a clear timeline of events.
Further developments are anticipated following this latest round of interrogation.
