Acclaimed director Sekhar Kammula’s much-awaited Telugu-Tamil bilingual film Kuberaa is all set to hit theatres on June 20. With a series of intriguing glimpses and soulful tracks—one of which serves as the film’s central theme—Kuberaa has already sparked considerable curiosity. To amplify the buzz, the makers recently hosted a grand audio launch event in Chennai, blending nostalgia, emotion, and cinematic anticipation.

A Night of Emotion and Excitement

At the event, Nagarjuna—who plays a key role in the film—struck a nostalgic chord, recalling his deep-rooted connection with Chennai and its cinema-loving audiences.

“Thank you for the unwavering love over the decades,” he said. “After Kuberaa, get ready for another cinematic treat—Superstar Rajinikanth’s Coolie will amaze you big time!”

The evening took an even more emotional turn with Dhanush, the film’s lead, delivering a heartfelt speech that left the audience moved. Reflecting on the moral climate of today’s world, he described it as Kalikaalam—an age overshadowed by negativity and greed.

“Sekhar Kammula is like a divine soul, a pure-hearted angel in this industry,” Dhanush said with deep reverence.

He shared a powerful anecdote from the film’s shoot: his first scene, shot barefoot in Tirupati, where he portrayed a beggar. The moment, he said, was spiritually profound.

“That experience stripped life down to its essence. Greed and wealth mean nothing. A pure soul is everything. Kuberaa will make you feel that. And I’m 2000% sure.”

A Spiritual and Cinematic Journey

Produced with Kammula’s signature emotional depth, Kuberaa promises a soulful narrative exploring themes of humanity, spirituality, and materialism, with a stellar cast and hauntingly beautiful music.

With the release just around the corner, expectations are soaring. And if the tone of the audio launch is any indication, Kuberaa is poised to be more than just a film—it could be a cinematic reflection of the times we live in.
