Actor Sanjay Dutt has joined the cast of the upcoming fifth installment of the comedy franchise “Housefull”, as announced by the makers on Saturday.

Dutt will be working alongside cast members Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, and Riteish Deshmukh in the new movie. The film will be directed by Tarun Mansukhani, known for films such as “Dostana” and “Drive”, and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. The news of Dutt’s casting was shared on the official page of the production banner.

The post read, “#NGEFamily is thrilled to announce @duttsanjay is joining the #Housefull5 family! Looking forward to another exciting journey filled with madness #SajidNadiadwala’s #Housefull5 Directed by @Tarunmansukhani @akshaykumar @Riteishd @juniorbachchan @WardaNadiadwala.

” The “Housefull” franchise began with the 2010 film “Housefull”, followed by three sequels — “Housefull 2” (2012), “Housefull 3” (2016) and “Housefull 4” (2019). “Housefull 5” was officially announced in June 2023 and is expected to release next year. Sanjay Dutt’s most recent big-screen appearance was in the 2023 Tamil action film “Leo”, alongside Vijay.
