Residents of Chandrampalem, Madhurawada; Married Three Years Ago; Working Remotely for Hyderabad-Based Firms A young techie couple from Visakhapatnam tragically lost their lives in a wall collapse near the Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Simhachalam during the early hours of Wednesday, leaving their community in shock and grief.

The victims were identified as Pilla Umamaheswara Rao (30) and his wife Shailaja (26), residents of Chandrampalem village near Madhurawada. The couple, married three years ago, were employed as software engineers with companies based in Hyderabad and had been working from home.

According to officials, the couple had joined the Rs 300 special darshan queue around 2 a.m. to participate in the annual Chandanotsavam festival. As they waited for Nijaroopa Darshanam, a section of the wall collapsed suddenly, fatally injuring them on the spot.

Their untimely deaths have cast a pall over the region, especially in their hometown, where friends and neighbors are mourning the loss of the young couple who had a promising future ahead.
