The upcoming Amazon series “Blade Runner 2099” will star “Euphoria” actress Hunter Schafer and Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh. The series will be set in the “Blade Runner” franchise and will serve as a sequel to the 1982 classic “Blade Runner” and its 2017 follow-up “Blade Runner 2049.” Michelle Yeoh will play the role of Olwen, a replicant near the end of her life. The show will be released on Prime Video and is being produced by showrunner Silka Luisa. Director Ridley Scott, along with several others, will serve as executive producers on the series. Jonathan van Tulleken will direct the first two episodes, and Hunter Schafer will also be seen in the upcoming film “Mother Mary” alongside Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel.
