Amaravati: June 27: Eenadu Group Managing Director and late Cherukuri Ramoji Rao’s son Ch Kiran announced Rs 10 crore donation for Amaravati. Paying tributes to his father and founder Chairman of Eenadu Group Ramoji Rao’s commemoration meeting conducted by Andhra Pradesh government at Tadigadapa in NTR District on Thursday, he recalled that Ramoji Rao suggested Amaravati name for AP’s capital. As part of fulfilling his father’s dream to develop Amaravati, Kiran has announced the donation. Besides, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and noted film director SS Rajamouli proposed the Bharata Ratna for Ramoji Rao which is suitable for his service. Chandrababu Naidu also said that the State Government would construct a meeting hall and a library on Ramoji’s name and one road would be named for his services. He further said Chitrapuri colony would be developed in Vizag city on his name. Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and several leaders were present along with family members of Ramoji Rao.
