On Tuesday, the state government raised a new loan of Rs. 1100 crores by selling government securities in a Reserve Bank auction. This brings the total debts raised in the current financial year to Rs. 62,000 crore. In addition to this, the corporation has debts of around Rs. 25,000 crores, and another Rs. 15,000 crore was borrowed through loans given by employees’ cuttings, NABARD, EAP, and the Centre. Altogether, the debts have crossed one lakh crore rupees in the last ten months.
