During two days of rain in the city, the water level in Hussainsagar rose to 513.53 feet from the normal level of 513.41 feet. To manage the increased flow, officials raised the Tumu gate by 2 feet and released water downstream through the canal. The engineering team is continuously monitoring the incoming flood surge into Hussainsagar. The water inflow was 2,075 cusecs, and 1,538 cusecs of water was released downstream.
