Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh government has issued an order renaming social pensions to ‘NTR Bharosa’. As soon as Nara Chandrababu Naidu assumed office as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, he signed the increase in pensions.
The State government on Friday officially released the details regarding the pension increase, bringing immense joy to the beneficiaries. The government has issued orders revising the name of social pensions to ‘NTR Bharosa’ and increasing the pension amounts significantly. The pension for old age, widows, and single women has been raised from Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 4,000. Additionally, pensions for transgenders, garment workers, and fishermen have also been increased to Rs. 4,000. For disabled persons, the pension has been increased from Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 6,000, while fully disabled persons will now receive Rs. 15,000, up from Rs. 5,000. Those suffering from serious illnesses will see their pension rise from Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 10,000. Chief secretary to the Government, Nirabh Kumar Prasad, issued the orders detailing these significant increases, fulfilling a key promise and providing substantial support to various vulnerable groups in the State
