Vijayawada: N Sunitha, responding to the recent gag order issued by the Kadapa court concerning the Vivekananda Reddy murder case, disclosed her intention to challenge the order in the High Court. She expressed her determination to fight for justice in the case despite legal obstacles created by ruling YSRCP leaders.
Sunitha mentioned that she is seeking justice for Viveka’s case through the people’s court during the ongoing election season.
However, she criticised the YSRCP leaders for attempting to obstruct her efforts by filing petitions in the courts. She also highlighted the support for AP Congress president Y S Sharmila, who is also advocating for justice in the Viveka murder case.
The gag order issued by the Kadapa court, valid until April 30, prohibits political parties and their leaders from making derogatory remarks or linking the murder of former minister Vivekananda Reddy to YSR Congress Party and its leaders. This order comes following a petition by a local YSRCP leader, prompting the court’s intervention.
The court directed several political figures, including Y S Sharmila, N Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan, D Purandeswari, and their followers, to refrain from making defamatory remarks against chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and YSRCP Kadapa Lok Sabha contestant YS Avinash Reddy.
The court emphasised that during pending legal proceedings, individuals should refrain from making unauthorized judgments or labeling involved parties without legal authority.
