Though the TDP led by former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has taken a decision towards election alliance with the NDA but the BJP national leadership has the responsibility to pacify the anger of people of the state and as well as cadre of the Telugu Desam Party.

The majority people of the state, especially neutral voters are not happy with the BJP’s national leadership due to various decisions taken by the Centre. Especially the refusal of special status, steel plant privatisation proposal, non-allocation of funds to Amaravati , long time demand Bharata Ratna for NTR and supporting the anti-people policies of the YSRCP government.

As a result, there is neither development nor industries in the state. There is an opinion formed in the minds of the majority people of the state that the BJP is behind every step of the YSR Congress government. It is an open secret in the political circles including leaders of the Telugu Desam and the BJP. In this backdrop, a statement from BJP’s national leadership towards state development to reassure people is very important.

Already the BJP had contested in the by-elections in alliance with Jana Sena and as well as 2019 elections solely in the two Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. But it had got below one per cent vote share. It is clear evidence to the anger of people of the state.

The TDP and political circles express the opinion that the Centre should make special announcements especially on state development including special package. The YSRCP government had focused only on welfare programmes but it did not take any steps on industrial growth.

The future of youth is now uncertain in the state. There is only one option for them for employment to move to other states. Moreover, the projects like Polavaram and Amaravati which are the two eyes of state are totally in limbo. Sufficient funds are needed to complete these two projects. Apart from this, the investors may not opt for the state for their future investments based on the policy taken by the present government.

In the present political conditions prevailed in the state, Andhra Pradesh needs special announcement from the Centre for the promotion of industrial development. Then only the people would extend their support to cast their votes for the BJP candidates.

Already several recent surveys have also found the same opinion. The vote transferring from TDP seems a crucial point in the present situation. The leaders of the BJP and the TDP express doubts in their internal discussions, said one senior TDP leader on condition of anonymity
