Kollywood’s renowned music director Yuvan Shankar Raja, known for his work in Tamil films, is now making his debut in Tollywood. Yuvan, who began his career as the musical successor to maestro Ilayaraja, has composed music for numerous films in both Tamil and Telugu languages. He quickly gained recognition as a talented music director. However, Yuvan Shankar Raja is currently involved in a controversy.
A case has been filed against him at a police station in Chennai, where he resides in the Nungambakkam area. The case revolves around a dispute with Azmat Begum, the owner of the house where Yuvan has been staying on rent in the Nungambakkam Lake area. Allegedly, Yuvan has not paid the rent and there is an outstanding amount of Rs. 20 lakh, according to Azmat Begum’s brother, Mohammad Javid Thiruvallikeni, who filed a complaint with the Deputy Commissioner of Police.
The landlord claims that Yuvan does not respond when contacted about the rent, and has also reported to the police that Yuvan has been burning things in the house without their consent and moving items to another property. This news has sparked a lot of interest in the Kollywood film industry. Many are surprised that a successful music director like Yuvan, who earns crores for his work in big-budget movies, is facing difficulties in paying a relatively small sum of Rs. 20 lakh. Yuvan currently has several noteworthy projects such as ‘Vijay Digot,’ ‘Sardaar 2,’ and ‘Morrison’ in his pipeline.
