Senior IAS officer Srilakshmi faces setback with minister Narayana

Vijayawada: Senior IAS officer Srilakshmi encountered a challenging situation on Sunday when Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, P Narayana, refused to sign a file she presented upon his assumption of office. This incident marks another in a series of setbacks for Srilakshmi.
It is reported that, following Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s swearing-in as chief minister, IAS and IPS officers extended their congratulations. However, when it was Srilakshmi’s turn, the CM declined to accept her bouquet and asked her to leave his chamber. This incident occurred two days prior.
On Sunday, Srilakshmi faced a similar experience when P Narayana took charge as municipal minister. She presented a file for his signature, but the minister declined, stating, “I don’t want to sign now.” With no other option, Srilakshmi left the office.
These incidents suggest a growing distance between Srilakshmi and the current administration, with TDP leaders alleging that Srilakshmi is perceived to be favorable to former chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
