Vijayawada: June 14: After an intense two-day exercise in allocating portfolios to his Cabinet ministers, Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday assigned portfolios to his 24-member council of ministers.

After successfully contesting elections under the NDA alliance comprising Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Janasena, and BJP in the recent general elections, the chief minister took extra precautions in distributing the portfolios.

Especially, Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan has been given the key portfolio of Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, which was held by the chief minister’s son, Nara Lokesh, during the previous tenure (2014-2019). Satya Kumar Yadav of BJP has been assigned the crucial Health portfolio.
