Minors accused of gang rape after watching porn videos on mobile phone

 In a tragic development from Nandyal, Andhra Pradesh, three minor boys accused of gang-raping and killing an eight-year-old girl earlier this month had reportedly watched explicit videos on mobile phones before attempting to replicate the assault. The incident, which shocked the local community, led to the arrest of two male relatives of one of the accused boys on Monday for allegedly concealing and destroying evidence.

Nandyal superintendent of police Adhiraj Singh Rana disclosed that the father and uncle of one of the accused had disposed of the victim’s body in a canal.

The harrowing events unfolded on July 7 when the boys, aged between 13 to 17 years and fellow students of the victim, lured her to an isolated area under the guise of showing her a new playground.

There, they allegedly subjected her to a brutal assault before dumping her into the Mucchumarri Lift Irrigation Canal in Mucchumarri village.

According to police accounts, the accused transported the girl’s body by bicycle and then a motorcycle to the backwaters of Krishna river with assistance from the two men.

Subsequently, the men allegedly weighted the body with a stone and discarded it into the canal. Police added that proceedings are ongoing in the juvenile court, with the possibility of the boys being relocated to an observation home
