The Andhra Pradesh government has suspended Madanapalle Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO) Hariprasad, former RDO Murali, and senior assistant Goutham in connection with the fire accident at the Madanapalle RDO office in Annamayya district. The fire incident occurred on the night of July 21, and initial police investigations suggest it may not have been a casual accident.

As part of the probe, police have questioned several associates of former minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy. On other hand, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu conducted a review of the revenue and registration departments on Monday. During the meeting, he discussed measures to prevent incidents like the Madanapalle RDO office fire.

The review included a discussion on laws enacted in the past five years and their misuse, particularly those introduced under the guise of reforms which led to illegal activities. Additionally, the discussions focused on resolving land disputes and introducing new laws to prevent land grabbing
