The AP Grama Sachivalayam alliance is set to make significant changes to the secretariat system established during the YCP regime in AP.

The government has started the process of reassigning staff from the secretariats to other government departments. It is rumored that the government will implement further changes. Firstly, the name of the village secretariats may be changed to Village Welfare Office.

Additionally, the government plans to appoint welfare assistants from the welfare department as DDOs in the village welfare office going forward. The government’s aim appears to be to create a list of beneficiaries for government schemes through the village welfare office without any political influence.

Furthermore, orders will be issued to establish separate Gram Panchayat Offices and Village Welfare Offices in each village. The government aims to complete this entire process by September 30, with the five current employees at the village welfare office expected to start their duties from October 2. Details about the staff reassignment are yet to be revealed.
