The current head of the social media wing, Manne Satish, may be replaced by political strategist Sunil Kanugolu after the wing failed to effectively counter criticism during the Assembly session. Due to controversial statements made by some party leaders, there’s talk that the party’s social media team didn’t effectively address the criticism.

A senior leader from Gandhi Bhavan acknowledged the social media wing for exposing the Congress’ shortcomings and effectively highlighting controversial statements made by their leaders at the recent Assembly sessions. Considering this, it wouldn’t be surprising if the party appoints a new head for the State social media affairs, with Sunil Kanugolu being considered for the role.

Manne Satish, who joined the Congress from the Telugu Desam Party and currently leads the Congress social media team in Telangana, may see a change in leadership.

Additionally, back in April, Satish and a few others were served notices by the Delhi Police in connection with a complaint regarding an alleged digitally altered video of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Is a major restructuring underway for the Congress in Telangana at the head of its social media wing, following its apparent failure to support the party effectively during the Assembly session? It seems like the party is indeed taking steps in this direction.
