Telangana SC Corporation has announced that it will provide free driving training (for light and heavy motor vehicles) to unemployed youth aged between 18 and 35. The interested candidates, including young women, men, and transgenders, need to submit their applications to the Medchal District Collectorate before August 20. The SC Corporation ED Balaji mentioned that free food and accommodation will be provided at the Hakimpet Driver Training Institute.

Eligibility criteria include being between 18 and 35 years of age and having passed 8th standard for light motor vehicle training, and being between 20 and 35 years of age and having passed 10th standard for heavy motor vehicle training. Transgenders are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity and submit their applications at the District Scheduled Castes Seva Cooperative Society office in the Medchal District Collectorate. Furthermore, the state government has decided to provide electric autos to 100 women.

The driving training programs for women, conducted under the name ‘MUV’, are being piloted at Mahila Prangana in Kukatpally, Hyderabad, starting from August 12. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will hand over a hundred e-autos. Additionally, plans are in place to provide Ola and Zomato-style services to women who receive vehicles through the Women’s Development Cooperation Corporation. Bandru Shobharani, Chairperson of Telangana Women’s Cooperative Development Organization, has also announced plans for employment generation for women and young women between 18-40 years, including training and skill programs in various courses.
