On Friday, TDP leader N Chandrababu Naidu wrote a letter to Andhra Pradesh government employees, teachers, and pensioners.
In the letter, he urged them to think about the future of the state before making a proper decision while voting. He promised them respect and a friendly environment if they chose to vote for TDP, BJP, and Janasena NDA government.
He also pledged to immediately announce a better pay revision commission (PRC) and ensure timely payment of salaries, pensions, and other monetary benefits once the government is formed.
Naidu expressed his concern over the problems faced by government employees, especially the delay in paying their salaries, which has led to financial difficulties.
He mentioned that some employees were unable to pay for their children’s education or marry off their daughters due to the delay in payment.
He criticized the state government for taking revenge on employees who fought for their rightful claims. He further alleged that the YSRCP government announced a ‘reverse’ PRC by bringing down the fitment than the interim relief, and reduced pensions, causing retired employees to suffer.
Naidu cited several other injustices faced by employees and pensioners and urged them to work together to create a better future for coming generations and restore the state’s past glory. The Assembly elections and Lok Sabha elections will be held simultaneously on May 13.
