Chandrababu promises zero-interest loans for students

Vijayawada: TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu has announced that the TDP would provide zero-interest loans to students to facilitate their higher education, aiming at supporting their academic aspirations. He also emphasized the party’s commitment to fostering women’s development across all sectors, with the goal of propelling them to achieve global success.

During his interactions with women in Gudur, Naidu highlighted the TDP’s pro-women initiatives, citing various welfare programmes implemented to benefit them. In response to a girl student’s concerns about financial barriers to higher education, Naidu assured that the TDP would offer zero-interest loans to students to support their educational pursuits.

Naidu reiterated the party’s efforts in promoting women’s self-help groups and extending zero-interest loans to empower them financially. He also mentioned past initiatives of the TDP government, including providing 33 percent reservations to girl students in educational institutions and distributing gas connections under the ‘Deepam’ scheme, and he criticized the YSRCP government for discontinuing it.

In sharp criticism, Naidu accused the current regime of promoting duplicate liquor brands in government-run shops, leading to tragic consequences with several lives lost due to the consumption of counterfeit liquor. He condemned this practice, citing its detrimental effects on public health.
