Kuppam:  Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu’s wife Nara Bhuvaneswari filed nomination on behalf of him in the prestigious Kuppam Assembly segment on Friday, accompanied by a massive rally and fervent political enthusiasm from TDP, BJP, and Janasena party leaders and supporters.

The event garnered significant attention in the constituency, known for its historical significance in TDP’s stronghold. Prior to filing the nomination, Bhuvaneswari performed rituals at the Prasanna Varadharajswami temple, seeking divine blessings. She also visited a Masjid in Lakshmipuram and a Church at Babunagar, signifying a harmonious approach towards diverse communities.

After the nomination process, Bhuvaneswari held a strategic meeting with party workers to discuss election strategies. With Naidu actively engaged in election campaigning and party responsibilities, Bhuvaneswari will oversee the electioneering efforts in Kuppam.

Having represented Kuppam as MLA for the past 35 years, Naidu’s influence in the region has significantly contributed to shaping the Chittoor Parliament constituency.

However, the YSR Congress Party has intensified efforts to challenge Naidu’s dominance in this stronghold. As part of their election strategy, chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy orchestrated the release of Krishna River water to the drought-prone Kuppam constituency in Chittoor district earlier in February. This strategic move aimed at addressing agricultural needs and garnered attention in the run-up to the elections. Nevertheless, the TDP remains enthusiastic about rewriting history in the Kuppam constituency by achieving a substantial majority for Chandrababu Naidu.
