Dharmavaram: May 5: The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief, N. Chandrababu Naidu, exuded confidence in the return of the NDA government to power at the Centre and reiterated Narendra Modi’s candidature for the post of Prime Minister during a public gathering in Dharmavaram.
In the company of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Naidu urged the electorate to rally behind the NDA alliance in Andhra Pradesh, emphasising the need to oust chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy from power.
Naidu sharply criticised Jagan’s governance, accusing him of neglecting the state’s development by leaving it without a designated capital city and dismantling Amaravati. He underscored Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s assurance of support for crucial projects like Polavaram and Amaravati under an NDA-led government.

The TDP leader expressed optimism about Amaravati’s potential to become the country’s premier capital once again under NDA’s leadership. He outlined plans for comprehensive development, including the completion of the Polavaram project and ensuring irrigation access for every acre of land in Ananthapuram.
Naidu lamented Jagan’s purported failure to prioritize Rayalaseema’s development and address unemployment issues stemming from what he described as the incumbent government’s flawed policies. He pledged significant job creation initiatives under TDP’s governance, promising four lakh jobs annually for the next four years, alongside unemployment allowances until employment is secured.
Naidu stressed the importance of collaborative efforts between the State and Central governments for Andhra Pradesh’s progress, underlining the necessity of dynamic leadership for fostering competitiveness and driving the state’s growth trajectory.
