Amaravati: Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan is moving confidently on his political future and his prospects in the Pithapuram Assembly constituency. After a big jolt in the last Assembly elections, he entered into the fray this time with ally parties TDP and BJP support as part of the NDA alliance.

Now he is asking the people of the constituency only about giving him huge majority. He selected the constituency without taking any risk. As a result, now he has hope for the huge margin of votes confidently and campaigning for candidates of the TDP and the BJP in the other parts of the State.

He also started the construction of the office building at Mangalagiri. The Jana Sena party has been maintaining office in sheds so far. Now it has started permanent construction in the same place.

Indeed he made a good decision for alliance with TDP in sharing of seats. It helps Jana Sena to emerge as an alternative political party for future politics.

Perhaps, there is a debate among the political circles about who would benefit more from the tie-up of the two political parties. Some of them especially the ruling YSR Congress and anti-Chandrababu forces have been criticising Pawan Kalyan for his plan to benefit the TDP.

Indeed, Pawan Kalyan has shown maturity by entering into an alliance with the TDP. Jana Sena did win a single seat of Rajole assembly segment in the 2019 elections. Pawan Kalyan was also defeated though he contested from two constituencies. Moreover, the Jana Sena scored only 6 percent of the votes even his Kapu community has 10 to 15 percent votes in the total voters.

In the past, his brother Chiranjeevi’s Praja Rajyam Party scored 18 per cent of votes. Jana Sena did not bag at least half of the votes got by PRP.

In this backdrop, Pawan Kalyan realised the facts and finalised his political alliance with a reasonable score of seats. As a result, a double-digit number of party leaders are expected to enter in Assembly on Jana Sena banner in the forthcoming elections. He has a good scope to enter the Assembly in 2024.

Moreover, his party would get reasonable strength in the Assembly and would be recognised as one of the important regional parties in the state by national parties for future election alliances.

Pawan Kalyan has also got a chance to work with TDP under the election alliance to acquire political experience. He expresses thanks regularly for working with his aide and former Speaker Nadendla Manohar by recalling his positions and political experience. In the same way, he has had a very good opportunity to work closely with former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. It would be useful to him in many aspects.

Pawan Kalyan has been continuing in politics for the last 10 years but he did not have any experience as a member of any legislative house. Now the election alliance with TDP has given many opportunities for him.

He has made a good decision though his fan following and the opposition party are provoking him as a CM candidate but he has realised his previous track record and real strength at the gross root level.

He only focused on defeating the ruling YSR Congress instead of becoming Chief Minister. He knows there is a chance that TDP would also get lost if Jana Sena goes solely for election alliance with BJP.

Then the situation would benefit YSR Congress. After considering all the reasons, he has decided to work with TDP, said one Jana Sena leader.
