An inspector from the Central Crime Branch (CCB) of the Bengaluru Police was found dead on Monday in a deserted area of Bidadi, on the outskirts of the city. Inspector Thimmegowda, who was in his 50s, was found hanging from a tree. He was working with the Economic Offences Wing of the CCB at the time.
While the police suspect it to be a case of suicide, no note was found. A police official mentioned that no visible injury marks were found on his body, and further investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of death after the post-mortem report is received.
This incident occurred three days after the death of 34-year-old police sub-inspector Parashuram in Yadgir.
