Vijayawada, March 27: The political atmosphere in Andhra Pradesh has intensified as the two major parties, YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) and Telugu Desam Party (TDP), commenced their election campaigns today in preparation for the upcoming general elections.
Chief Minister and YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy launched the campaign with a bus tour through Kurnool and Nandyala districts. Meanwhile, TDP president Nara Chandrababu Naidu participated in the “Prajagalam” campaign held in Palamaneru of Chittoor district.
During his campaign, Chandrababu Naidu launched a sharp criticism against CM Jagan, accusing him of neglecting the interests of the Rayalaseema region. Naidu vowed continuation of his tour across Rayalaseema as part of the election campaign, focusing on addressing key issues in the region.
CM Jagan, on the other hand, paid homage to his father and former CM Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy in Pulivendula. He is scheduled to attend campaign events in Allagadda and spend the night there.
