Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address a BJP rally in Nagarkurnool, Telangana on Saturday, ahead of the announcement of the Lok Sabha election schedule. He held a roadshow in the Malkajgiri Lok Sabha constituency on Friday evening. Modi is also expected to attend another rally in Jagtial on March 18, as per the Telangana BJP.
Recently, on March 5, the Prime Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation for development projects worth over Rs 7,200 crore at Sangareddy, which is about 60 km from Hyderabad. During a BJP rally at Sangareddy, Modi criticized the Congress, stating that it was afraid to promote young leaders, and accused the “dynastic parties” of targeting him for exposing their “scams worth several thousands of crores of rupees.” The BJP is hopeful of making significant electoral gains in the south and won four out of the total 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana in the 2019 general elections. The party has decided to go solo in Telangana for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The Election Commission is expected to announce the schedule for the Lok Sabha polls on Saturday.
