Amaravati: Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan is all set to start his election campaign from Pithapuram on March 30. Already he announced his political campaign launch schedule which will commence from Pithapuram of East Godavari district after offering special prayers to Goddess mePuruhutika.
Though Pawan Kalyan initially followed Marxist revolutionary leader Cheguvera he is also a spiritual-minded person. He respects all religions and offers prayers too. But he has specific beliefs and symbolic spiritual connections included in his political activities also. It may be noted that he faced defeat in his first election in 2019.
Now he will start his political campaign for the forthcoming elections after offering special prayers to the goddess Puruhutika Ammavaru. Sri Puruhutika Devi temple is located on the premises of Sri Kukuteswara Swamy temple in Pithapuram town. Ammavari temple is one of the Ashtadasa Peethams in the country. The town has been recognised as Pithapuram in the name of the goddess Puruhutika Devi’s name. There is a mythological connection between Pithapuram from Dakshayagnam’s story.
Sati Devi sacrificed her life in Dakshayagnam. when angered Siva cut her body into pieces with his weapon, one piece of Sati Devi was placed in Pithapuram. Since then devotees have been offering prayers there in the name of Puruhutika Devi.
On the other hand, Jagadguru Sripada Vallabha was born in Pithapuram and he too worshiped Puruhutika Devi. He was an incarnation of Lord Dattatreya.
Besides, Pawan Kalyan will start his tour with his ‘Vaarahi’ vehicle. The vehicle is specially designed for election campaign purposes and it is named as Varahi vehicle with a spiritual connection. As per the Puranas, Vaarahi is the “Sarva Sainaadyakshuraalu ” (Chief of Soldiers) to goddess Sri Lalitha Ammavaru. She also has a vehicle (Radham) with 1000 horses and gods sitting there in it. She is very powerful and she fought against the evil forces on behalf of Sri Lalitha Ammavaru as per Puranas. She won the battle killing all evil forces. Pawan Kalyan is now ready to launch his election battle following all purpose and history.
