No place for RRR in BJP’s list••Turns out AC big moral loss to TDP, Jana Sena

••It seems Jagan still has upper hand in Delhi politics

Amaravati: It is quite surprising for some sections of people. But it is predictable for people who know Delhi-based politics. Now it is a moral loss to Telugu Desam and Jana Sena alliance. The reasons might be different to BJP for not allotting a seat to Narsapuram sitting MP Raghu Ramakrishnam Raju (RRR) though he has always been in touch with party’s national leadership.

It may be recalled that RRR was elected on YSR Congress ticket from Narsapuram Lok Sabha. But he fought against party leadership opposing the government policies and leadership attitude. As a result, he faced severe problems including arrests and criminal cases. He could not visit his Narsapuram Lok Sabha and at least he did not attend his grandmother’s funeral to avoid threat in many ways. He openly expressed his opinions and faced several police cases and personal threats and even attacks.

He never stepped back in his fight against the government. He always raised his voice against the state government and he conducted media interactions daily in the name of “Racchhabanda” to expose anti-people policies. At one point of time, he got recognition as the only opposition in the state along with TDP. Now he is a familiar person in the state from Gully (village) to Delhi. He faced criticism from neutral voters as he is a supporter of BJP.

But now the BJP surprisingly did not allot a seat to him though he has a fair chance of winning the elections. Indeed, he emerged as a people’s leader, and the opposition parties also could get moral support with his political activities and fighting spirit in the opposition role. Finally, he emerged as a candidate for all opposition parties like TDP, Jana Sena, and BJP. Now the BJP did not give him the party ticket contrary to expectations.

Against this backdrop, the TDP-Jana Sena has a responsibility to accommodate him somewhere in the state. Already there is opinion in the public that the YSR Congress leadership still dominates the political situation in Dehli. RRR issue will be impacting, especially damaging, the moral confidence of cadres. Now the TDP-Jana Sena has the responsibility to allot him a seat to either Lok Sabha or Assembly by analysing the ground reality.

However, RRR also reacted that AP BJP former president Somu Veerraju and Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy influenced BJP not to give him the seat. He asserted that he would continue his fight.
