Vijayawada: NDA partners—TDP, BJP and Jana Sena— will complete the works of Andhra Pradesh capital Amaravati in the next five years, said Siddhartha Nag Singh, election in-charge of AP BJP.

Participating in Ugadi celebrations at the party office here on Tuesday, he said that the NDA government would complete the Amaravati capital construction works after coming to power. He further said that the State government failed to construct the capital works during the last five years. The NDA government would complete Amaravati’s capital construction and it would be shown to the public, he explained.

Reiterating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision Vikasita Bharat-Vikasita Andhra, he said that the NDA government would register double engine growth in the next five years. He said that the double-engine growth concept government should come to power in the next elections to carry forward the Centre’s welfare schemes to downtrodden people. He said that the State government did not implement the welfare schemes of the Centre in the state.

He also said that the BJP-led NDA government would not privatise the Vishakha Steel plant and the necessary cooperation would be extended for the completion of the Polavaram project also, he said. “The State government made several changes in the designs of the Polavaram project for the reasons better known to them.” He also said that there would be no changes in the list of BJP candidates for either Assembly or Lok Sabha. He stressed the need for electing a double-engine growth government for the development of the state.
