Krishnam Raju’s wife in political race with Prabhas support

AP BJP’s proposal creates buzz in political circles

The family members of Rebel Star U Krishnam Raju are still interested in politics though he died almost two years ago. Krishnam Raju’ wife Syamala Devi’s name is also making rounds in the BJP circles for Narsapuram Lok Sabha constituency.  

Interestingly, there is a proposal that the sitting MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju will contest from the BJP. It is learnt that interestingly BJP state president D Purandeshwari proposed the name of Krishnam Raju’s wife Syamala Devi for Narsapuram Lok Sabha.

It may be noted that the film hero was elected for Lok Sabha from the BJP and he served as a member in the Union Cabinet for some time. Now his wife’s name was proposed by Andhra Pradesh BJP to the party national leadership. The party leadership believes that Krishnam Raju’s tinsel successor Prabhas will extend support to Syamala Devi. He always expresses his love and affection for Krishnam Raju and other family members.

Everyone knows that Krishnam Raju was very much interested in participating in direct politics. Moreover, there was a proposal to honour him with the Governor post by the BJP’s national leadership. But he died almost two years ago without fulfilling his dream.

In this backdrop, the family members of Krishna Raju are pondering over the new proposal. It may be recalled that actress Sumalatha also followed her husband Ambarish after his demise and was elected for Lok Sabha. Now the new proposal assumed significance in the political circles especially in Godavari districts.
