**Transferred to non-election duty till end of polls

Amaravati: April 2: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has taken action against the six IPS officers and three IAS officers by transferring them following the complaints made by NDA parties including TDP, BJP, and Jana Sena. The parties made allegations that the officers are working in favor of YSR Congress and Palnadu SP’s negligence in Prime Modi’s meeting security arrangements. In this backdrop, the ECI issued orders to the Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday to take action in this regard with immediate effect.
As per the orders, IAS officers P Raja Babu (DEO Krishna), M Goutami (DEO Anantapuram), D Lakshmisha (DEO Tirupathi) have been transferred.
IPS officers Parameshwar (SP Prakasam), Y Ravishankar Reddy (SP Palnadu), P Jashuva (SP Chittoor), KKN Ambujan (SP Anantapuram), K Tirumaleshwar (SP Nellore) and G Pala Raju (IG Guntur).
The Commission has also directed that aforesaid officers should hand over the charge to the officer immediately below in rank and these officers should not be assigned to any election-related work till the completion of simultaneous elections in Andhra Pradesh. The panel of Indian Administrative Officers (IAS) for each of the districts and the panel of three police officers of Indian Police Service (IPS) for each of the incumbent posts of police officers be furnished by 5 pm on April 2 along with their APAR grading for the last five years and Vigilance Clearance to the Commission.
