The YSRCP leadership has finalized Botsa Satyanarayana as the party
MLC candidate for the joint Vishakha district local bodies. Party leader and former CM YS Jagan revealed that Botsa was selected as per the opinion of the party leaders. Vamshikrishna Srinivas, who contested as the MLC of Visaka local bodies on behalf of YCP and won, resigned from YCP before the elections and joined Janasena party. As a result, the post of MLC has become vacant. The district collector explained that the by-election notification will be released on August 6, nominations will be accepted from the same day, nominations will last until August 13, scrutiny will be on the 14th, and the withdrawal process will be on the 16th. The by-election will be held on August 30 from 8 am to 4 pm, the counting of votes will be on September 3, and the election process will end on September 6. The Municipal Corporations, Municipalities, Zilla Praja Parishad, and Mandal Praja Parishad members of Visakhapatnam, Anakapalli, and Alluri Sitaramaraju districts of the joint Visakhapatnam district will exercise their right to vote in the MLC elections
