Gold prices declined by Rs 100 to reach Rs 70,636 per 10 grams in futures trade on Friday, as speculators reduced their positions. The gold contracts for June delivery traded at Rs 70,636 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 17,808 lots on the MCX, showing a decrease of Rs 100. Analysts attributed the fall in gold prices to weak global cues and profit booking at a higher level. Globally, gold was trading at USD 2,308.40 per ounce, showing a 0.05 per cent decrease in New York.
