Amaravati: TDP pins hopes on a massive victory by analysing the election trend by taking feedback from ground reports. The party leadership led by president N Chandrababu Naidu and general secretary Nara Lokesh reviewed the situation from early morning onwards.
As per trends, the voters turn out on a large scale from early morning onwards visible at urban area polling booths. The polling percentage was close to 80 per cent in the 2019 elections but this time urban voters rushed to the polling booths from 6:30 am in advance to the scheduled polling time of 7 am.
As a result, the polling per cent reached ever-high in the state. The TDP leadership has analysed the polling trends by describing that as favourable to them. The leaders opine the TDP would win 130 to 140 MLA seats and 22 MP seats. The voters reached various neighboring states and various countries. As per the expectations, nearly 5 lakh voters reached from Hyderabad alone.
The TDP got additional support this time from neutral voters, youth, and government employees, according to analysts. As many as 10 lakh first-time voters were added to the voters list and the majority of them supported through casting their vote in favour of TDP, said a TDP leader.
Apart from this, the anti-incumbency factor has played a major role. On the other hand, the high turnout of urban voters seemed to play an important role in favour of the TDP.
Even though the YSR Congress has also analysed the election result as favourable to them, urban voters’ high percentage turnout across the State compared to previous elections is likely to play an important role.
