“Rajnath Singh Dismisses Congress Allegations on Constitution Change: No Tinkering with Reservation”

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has dismissed the Congress’ allegations that the BJP will change the Constitution if it returns to power.

Singh, in an interview with PTI, accused the Congress of spreading misinformation and creating fear psychosis for “vote bank” politics.

Singh specifically clarified that there is no question of changing the Preamble of the Constitution.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has been alleging that the BJP will “tear up and throw away” the Constitution if it retains power.

However, Singh highlighted that the BJP will never change the Constitution or end reservation. He also accused the Congress of misleading the nation on the issue of reservation and stated that there will not be any end to reservation.

The Congress has asked BJP leaders to clear the party’s stance on whether it would remove the 50 per cent cap on reservation for the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and the Other Backward Classes.

However, Singh has confirmed that the BJP will not tinker with the reservation at all.
