Priyanka Chopra Jonas, the actor, recently shared her surprise on Instagram after discovering that an eight-month-old koala joey at an Australian homestead had been named after her.

While touring Australia during a break from filming “The Bluff,” she posted pictures and videos with the koala on Instagram, expressing her gratitude for the special honor.

The koala joey was named Priyanka in honor of the actor. Priyanka also thanked the farmhouse management for the amazing wildlife experience she had during her visit.

Priyanka is currently in Australia for the filming of the Hollywood movie “The Bluff,” where she plays the role of a former female pirate and serves as a producer for the project.

The film is set in the 19th century Caribbean and tells the story of a former female pirate who must protect her family when her mysterious past catches up with her.
