Former Minister Mandava Venkateshwar Rao has written a letter to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, requesting the establishment of a Kamma Corporation. Rao praised the decision to set up corporations for the welfare of all economically and socially disadvantaged castes in society. Even though Kammas are considered an upper-caste legally, the majority of people in the caste live in poverty. Rao pointed out that many Kamma workers are struggling to make ends meet, and some are even unable to pay for their children’s education. Despite their merit, some children are forced to discontinue their studies due to financial difficulties.
Rao noted that even among the educated upper-caste Kamma population, there is a shortage of employment opportunities, resulting in financial hardship. In light of these difficulties, Rao urged the establishment of a “Kamma Welfare Corporation” to provide aid to the economically disadvantaged members of the Kamma community. He also stated that the Chief Minister’s name would go down in history as the first leader to set up a corporation for the welfare of workers. In his letter, Rao appealed to the Chief Minister to take immediate action towards the establishment of the Kamma Corporation.
