Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and his party of attempting to create a Hindu-Muslim divide for electoral gains.
In an interview with PTI, Singh also indicated that if the BJP retains power for the third consecutive term, it will implement its big-ticket plans, including the rollout of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) and the ‘One Nation One Election’ push.
He further said that he was confident that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will cross 400 seats, and the BJP will get over 370.
Singh accused the Congress of disturbing social harmony and trying to create tensions on religious lines.
He suggested that politics should not only be for forming governments, but it should also be for nation-building.
According to him, Rahul Gandhi has no fire, but the Congress is playing with fire.
The BJP leader also criticized the Congress for its plan to “redistribute” wealth, saying it would have disastrous consequences for the country’s economy.
He said that implementing the UCC and ‘One Nation One Poll’ push would fulfill the BJP’s promises to the people of India.
